AFAC, founded in 1988, is a nonprofit organization that feeds neighbors in need by providing dignified access of nutritious supplemental groceries to an average of 2400 families a week.

Design Powers first worked with AFAC’s team in 2012 to create and establish a visual identity that connected with the families they served as well as their volunteers, donors and the community at large.

The creative brief defined that the logo should convey that AFAC provides clients with an assortment of healthy food staples. A sense of community—that it’s inspiring to be a part of AFAC. Bright, vibrant colors and images convey a positive, healthful, warm and lively message with lots of utility across various media.

We designed the logo and website to lay the foundation for their digital presence and followed up with several years of building their brand by creating varied print collateral that included letterhead, brochures, banners, e-cards, event tablecloths, bustails, posters, postcards, magnets and window clings.

In those early years we even had the opportunity to create various types of van and truck wraps. It’s still a joy to see the colorful AFAC vehicles driving through town! Recently we created a 35th-anniversary logo.
