Websites Built for One Thing.
Winning!

Our comprehensive process positions your website and digital presence to become the most productive member of your revenue team—educating prospects, building trust, and delivering sales-ready leads long before a rep gets involved.

PHASE 01

The Power Plan

Before we propose anything, we need to understand everything. A 90-minute working session covers your business, your competitors, your goals, and the platforms you're already running. We do the research, we build the strategy, and we come back with a custom proposal. You'll know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before you sign anything.

THE POWER PLAN

PHASE 02

The Foundation

This is where we build. Every page is written in industry-specific copy with clear hierarchy, strategic headers, and calls to action that move a visitor from curious to convinced, optimized for search and written for the decision-makers evaluating you. Add a visual rebrand built to last and a custom website designed to win work. No templates. No shortcuts.

THE FOUNDATION

PHASE 03

Increased Visibility

A professional website is just the start, not the finish line. After launch, you choose a monthly increased visibility plan: up-to-the-date case studies, visual content and blog posts, an email newsletter, email nurture campaigns, or digital ads and CRM, and commit to at least six months. We make sure you keep showing up so your firm stays top of mind, relevant, and growing.

INCREASED VISIBILITY

PHASE 01 — THE POWER PLAN

Before We Build Anything, We Need to Know Everything.

Most AEC firms come to us with a clear sense of what they want and what they don’t want. What they don't always have is a clear picture of what it takes to get there. That's exactly what The Power Plan solves.

In a 90-minute working session, we dig into the details to understand your unique marketing challenges. Your competitors, ideal clients, existing platforms and integrations and finally, your goals and how you'll measure them. We follow that with independent research, then come back to you with a detailed project scope, a realistic timeline, and an accurate price. No surprises. No inflated quotes to cover uncertainty.

  • The Power Plan is to get crystal clear on your company. We learn about your firm, its clients, prospects, and competitors. We also get into the process. Visual and written content needs to be created. What do you have in hand, and how will we get what you don’t have? How does your website connect to your existing systems and strategy? Who are the decision-makers and what do they need to see? How will people find you? What legal requirements apply: accessibility, privacy, and compliance? How will you measure success?

By the time we're done, you'll have a blueprint that answers it all.

  • A 90-minute discovery session, up to eight hours of independent research, a complete project scope, a proposed timeline, and a fixed-price proposal. Larger projects requiring additional research, stakeholder calls or meetings are scoped accordingly.

  • When you decide to move forward with The Foundation, the full $950 is applied toward your website project. In other words, The Power Plan is included in the overall investment rather than charged as an additional fee.

  • Yes, because projects that skip The Power Plan always cost more, take longer, and deliver less. And why would you want that? The Power Plan outlines all the tasks in advance, and all the decision-makers are in agreement before the contract is signed and we begin the project.

  • Schedule an initial 30-minute call to make sure we're the right fit. Then schedule your Power Plan and let’s get to work.

PHASE 02 — THE FOUNDATION

Your Competition Already Has This. Now You Do Too.

The Foundation is our core engagement, and it's exactly what it sounds like. Everything your firm needs to show up professionally, compete confidently, and get found by clients and future employees. We've built this package specifically for small-to medium-sized AEC firms, and we handle every phase from start to finish.

The Foundation package includes:

  1. Structured Content Writing

  2. Search Engine and AI Optimization

  3. Visual Brand Identity

  4. Visual Assets and Custom Photography

  5. Website Design and Build

  6. Launch and Membership

Keep scrolling for a full breakdown of what’s included in each piece.

1. Structured Content Writing

We start by learning the essence of your firm, your history, your differentiators, and the key moments that shaped who you are today. From there, we restructure your site architecture to reflect the full breadth of what you do, including any services or disciplines you've added since your last website. We call it structured content because it's written to rank well in search, show up as AI citations, and get seen by the clients actively searching for your expertise.

Every page is written by a seasoned copywriter who knows AEC. Clear hierarchy, strategic headers, and calls to action that move a visitor from curious to convinced. We start with whatever you already have, existing bios, project descriptions, and capabilities statements, then interview your team to fill in the gaps. You provide the expertise. We do the writing. No long-winded timelines. No nap-inducing services pages. Just content that makes your firm impossible to overlook.

  • As an essential first step before any content writing, we agree on the page strategy—defining the primary menu, internal pages, and overall site structure. This ensures the website is intuitive for visitors and provides a clear framework that sets the content writing process up for success.

  • For AEC firms, showcasing completed projects is essential to demonstrate experience and expertise. We help you create a professional portfolio with well-written case study copy and engaging articles, making it easy to highlight your work. We build your project portfolio with the categorization and tagging structure it needs to highlight budget range, location, service type, project type, and any other relevant filters. Every project is properly tagged so prospects and selection committees can easily find exactly what they're looking for. Because the right project in front of the right person at the right moment is how you win work.

  • You’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback and request edits through two rounds of Google Doc revisions, giving us plenty of time to fine-tune the messaging and ensure it reflects your brand. After your website is built, you’ll receive one final round of content edits to make any last adjustments before launch.

2. Search Engine and AI Optimization

We aim to improve your website's ranking on Google Search by applying web accessibility best practices. That includes using a hierarchical content layout, descriptive, keyword-rich headlines, concise title text, links and meta descriptions, alt tags, organic strategies (consistent updates), and SEO fundamentals (good user experience).

  • High-quality, relevant content helps search engines and LLMs (AI) recognize your website as a trustworthy source of information. By including targeted keywords, natural-language phrases, location details, and FAQs, and by building topical authority through multiple pages on related subjects, your site is far more likely to appear in search results and in AI-generated answers.

  • Clear, useful, well-organized information structured with proper HTML heading tags (H1, H2, H3) creates a logical hierarchy for both users and search engines. This structure helps search engines and LLMs (AI) better understand the topic and key sections of each page. Squarespace also includes built-in schema markup for core content types such as blog posts, products, and events, which provides additional structured data that helps search engines interpret your content and display enhanced results.

  • When rebuilding a website, we carefully review your existing site to preserve valuable content and search visibility. We create a detailed spreadsheet of all current URLs to guide page planning and ensure nothing important is lost during the transition.

We then implement 301 redirects that map old URLs to their new locations, helping visitors reach the correct pages while maintaining your existing search engine rankings and authority.

  • Ensuring search engines and AI can discover, read, and cite your website is a critical first step for visibility. We submit an XML sitemap to Google Search Console, providing a complete map of your pages.

We also ensure your site structure is clean, internal links are logical, pages load quickly, and no important content is blocked by your robots.txt file. Together, these steps make it easy for search engines and AI to crawl your site, index your content, and surface it in search results and AI-powered tools.

  • We set up a GA4 property and Google Search Console to help you monitor visitor behavior, track keywords, and measure overall website performance. Squarespace’s built-in analytics are also included, providing easy-to-read insights on traffic, page views, and engagement.

Understanding how visitors interact with your site is essential for informed growth and optimization. We prioritize user privacy by implementing cookie consent tools, so users can control tracking preferences. While this may affect the completeness of some data, it ensures your website complies with data privacy laws while still providing actionable insights.

3. Visual Brand Identity

Your visual brand is the first thing a selection committee judges before they ever read your proposal. We design a full visual identity tailored to every application, from websites and virtual presentations to printed collateral like business cards, brochures, and signage.

That includes a logo redesign or refresh, a defined color palette, typography, and a graphic language that will appear consistently across everything you want to produce. This is the visual foundation your firm will build on for years.

  • We conduct competitive research to make sure your logo positions your firm effectively in your market, drawing on the full range of visual tools available, name treatment, color, typography, shape, and composition, to establish what makes you distinct. And a great logo doesn't need to be literal. It should be a visual window into the values and story behind your firm.

We design a professional logo that represents your firm’s expertise and style. You’ll receive 2-3 initial logo concepts, and once you choose a direction, we'll provide 1-2 rounds of edits to refine the chosen concept.

If your current logomark is well established, a refresh may be all it takes. That might mean tightening the execution, updating the typography for today's digital formats, tweaking the color palette, or improving usability across the range of applications your brand requires. We assess what's working, what isn't, and recommend the right approach for where your firm is headed.

  • Along with the logo, we define a cohesive visual identity—including color palette and typography—so your brand looks consistent and polished across all needed platforms.

  • We create a dedicated page on your website that documents your brand’s visual identity. It includes logo usage guidelines, color codes, font selections, and an overview of site styles—providing a clear reference for maintaining consistency across all pages and future updates. This way, you can send the visual guide URL to vendors and clients who need your brand information quickly and easily.

4. Visual Assets and Custom Photography

Stock photography isn’t ideal on a website built to win work. Your projects, your people, and your jobsites are your strongest proof points, and nothing communicates credibility faster than showing them. We recommend custom photography for every Foundation build and make the process as turnkey as possible.

We’ll coordinate with a photographer in your area, develop a comprehensive shot list and photography guide tailored to your website, and be available day-of to direct the shoot if you're in the DC metro area or would like us onsite in your city. Investment varies based on the photographer's day rate, number of locations, and scope of the shoot, and we'll outline all of it clearly in The Power Plan.

  • Before we begin design, we conduct a full visual asset audit. That means collecting everything we need to build a website that looks complete and credible from day one, professional headshots and team photos, existing project/portfolio photography, membership and association logos, certification badges, and any other visual assets that reinforce your firm's credibility and expertise. If gaps exist, we identify them early so nothing holds up the build or compromises the final product.

  • We coordinate and guide your photoshoot in partnership with you and the photographer. Together, we plan the date, time, and locations. We act as your art directors, ensuring the shoot stays organized and aligned with the website direction.

To keep everyone on the same page, we provide a Photoshoot Guide for the day. It includes a shot list, suggested props, clothing color options, and posing guidance—so both your team and the photographer know exactly what’s needed to capture professional, cohesive imagery. If you’re local to the DC area, we'll attend the photoshoot to assist onsite.

  • Custom photography is often the most logistically complex part of a website project, with timeline and cost varying by scope. Even a single session can require two weeks of preparation—shot lists, locations, styling, and schedules. Multi-site or multi-location shoots may span weeks or months and require several photographers. Security, permissions, and technical skills can add further complexity. We manage everything from planning to final image delivery, so your team is prepared, and the results reflect your firm.

  • If a custom photoshoot isn’t feasible, we will provide premium stock photography, illustrations and icons needed. All stock used is legally purchased under our account. We do not use free imagery.

  • If your team is remote or unable to coordinate a day of shooting headshots, we can use AI software to generate professional team headshots for your about page. We will discuss during The Power Plan.

  • All photos from your shoot are included at no additional cost. We carefully review and cull the images to select the strongest options and provide a curated list for you to choose your favorites.

Once selections are made, we handle editing and retouching—adjusting lighting, cropping, and compositing images as needed—to deliver polished photos.

  • We optimize all images to reduce file size without sacrificing quality, ensuring your website loads quickly and has a good user experience. Each image is properly named and tagged with descriptive alt text, improving accessibility for all visitors and increasing the chances your photos appear in image search results.

5. Web Design and Build

A pursuit-ready, 20-page custom website designed from scratch and built to win work. We start with sitemap and a home page concept, then design every page template from there, each one sharing the same visual language but laid out for its specific purpose. The final build is responsive, ADA-conscious, and built on Squarespace with SEO best practices baked in from day one. Selection committees, project owners, and future hires will find exactly what they're looking for.

  • This stage brings together your page planning, content, visual identity (logo, colors, fonts), and photography into a cohesive home page mockup. The mockup lets you experience the overall visual direction, layout, and feel of your site, giving a clear sense of how your brand and projects will be presented online before development begins.

  • You’ll have one round of feedback and edits on the home page mockup to fine-tune the design before development begins. Once the full site is built, we share it in a password-protected environment so you can review all pages, links, and forms safely. You’ll receive a second round of revisions to make any final adjustments before launch.

  • We meticulously build each page of your website, starting with the navigation (header and footer) and moving through the home page, main pages, and subpages. Content is organized into clear, visually appealing sections, with consistent application of colors, fonts, buttons, and other design styles.

Page settings, asset library organization, and advanced customizations like CSS and code injection are handled to ensure a sophisticated, professional result. Every detail reflects our expertise in creating websites that look and function exactly as they should.

  • We handle all the technical setup to make your website fully functional. This includes Squarespace hosting, domain registration (connection or transfer), and connecting analytics. We set up lead forms, review widgets, and any necessary third-party software—CRMs, client portals, or custom embeds—so everything works correctly and supports your business needs.

  • We create a new mailing list and add a newsletter block to your site footer to build your email list.

  • To comply with data privacy laws, every website needs clear legal policies. In a guided session, we help you set up your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and Cookie Consent Tool using Termageddon. You manage your account through a yearly subscription, with notifications for law updates to keep your site compliant.

  • Your website is fully responsive, automatically adapting to desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. We enhance Squarespace’s built-in responsiveness with customizations to ensure every element looks great across all screen sizes.

  • Before launch, we thoroughly test your website in a password-protected environment. This includes checking all pages, links, forms, and functionality to ensure everything works correctly and looks perfect on all devices.

  • If we discover during The Power Plan (Phase 1) that your website would benefit from additional features like email marketing and appointment scheduling, we can set them up for you. Each requires a setup call to configure the technical aspects, and both Email Campaigns and Acuity Scheduling have their own affordable recurring subscription costs.

    • Email Campaigns: We handle the setup and design, including creating new or uploading existing mailing lists, adding newsletter blocks to your site and connecting them to the correct list, designing email templates, and creating/verifying your sender profile(s).

    • Acuity Scheduling: Manage appointments, sync calendars, accept payments, and set up automated emails.

6. Launch and Membership

We handle every technical detail so your site goes live without surprises. Analytics setup, basic SEO configuration, hosting, and a final quality check across every page. You show up to the launch, and we handle everything else.

  • Every website launch is different, so we develop a strategy tailored to your business goals. Whether you’re rebranding and need to transition existing clients to a new name and messaging, or prefer a soft launch to test quietly, we plan the approach that best fits your needs and ensures your website makes the right impact from day one.

  • We provide foundational graphics for your social profiles, including banners, profile images, and a post to announce your new website.

  • Squarespace handles all technical maintenance and security, so you never need to worry about patches or vulnerabilities.

  • After your site goes live, you join our monthly membership to keep your site from going out of date. 1 hour of site updates per month.

Let's make sure we're the right fit.

PHASE 03 — INCREASED VISIBILITY

Your Website Is Live. Now Make It Work.
