  • The average price to register and host a domain name with an SSL certificate (padlock icon) ranges from $15 – $20 per year as long as it’s not a top-level domain name which can cost hundreds if not thousands.

  • Depending on your subscription plan, monthly hosting on Squarespace is $16–$65. Costs renew yearly (unless you opt for monthly) and are recurring fees. You pay Squarespace directly.

    E-commerce websites have additional costs because of additional functionalities (ex: payment processor fees, tax extensions, shipping, live chat support, etc.).

  • A complete website rebrand with custom writing, photography, and website design and development (done in that order) has a 6–8 week timeline.

    Content Writing: 2–3 Weeks (strategy, edits, revisions, and final approval)

    Photography: 2 Weeks (planning, shoot day, photo selection, touch-ups and edits)

    Website Design/Dev: 1–4 Weeks

  • We require 50% of the total cost indicated in the Power Plan at the start of your project. The 50% balance is due 30 days after the start date or when your website gets launched (whichever comes first).

  • Custom brand messaging written by an actual human (not Ai) with a few rounds of revisions varies by provider. We partner with professional content writers that start at $3k.

  • Custom brand photoshoot services with retouching and edits vary by provider. We partner with professional photographers that range from $2-3k and provide ALL the photos from shoot day (vs. needing to pay per photo). This service includes headshots, group shots, and on-location shots.

    We provide a brand photoshoot guide, including clothing color recommendations, location suggestions, and a detailed shot list to ensure we get the best shots for your website. If you’re in the DMV area, we also attend your photo shoot day and provide posing guidance—giving you total confidence.

  • If you are local to the DMV we can refer professional photographers we’ve used for our custom brand photography. If you are outside the DMV, we’ll do our best to scout a photographer or point you in the right direction to find one.

  • Yes! We use Asana. 

    Once you’re booked in our schedule, we’ll stop using email to have our conversation and start using our project management tool, Asana. A project management tool is a secure space online where we have conversations, share files, set reminders and create to-do lists.

    Whereas files often get lost when managing projects through email, everything gets noticed and remembered in Asana. It’s the simplest way to organize your project and ensure it goes as smoothly as possible!

    Don’t worry – you won’t need to pay for this tool (it’s free) and it’s easy to use.

  • Yes! Right after your site is launched, we schedule a complimentary 1–3 hour recorded Zoom training to help you learn how to self-manage and update your website.

    You can access Squarespace’s Help Center and 24/7 support and join our client membership for additional Design Powers monthly support.

  • Once your website is up and running, the work continues.

    Website maintenance: updating content regularly for SEO to attract organic traffic to your site, email marketing to consistently connect with your audience, and paid plugins/extensions add up in time and money.

    Costs per month span from $5–$300+. All types of content creation and maintenance are time-consuming. For our web clients, we keep it simple yet successful with our website client membership monthly updates.

  • Legal policies help protect you and your website visitors. We will set up and embed Termageddon (policy generator). You fill out and maintain the policies and pay the yearly renewal fee.

  • When people search for your business name, your website will appear because we submit your sitemap in Google Search Console (asking Google to index your website in the search results).

    Your site will be optimized for search engines and, over time, could get on the first page of Google for search terms related to your business and site content.

    If you already have a website and a strong SEO presence, you will likely remain in your current rankings or improve your ranking after we launch your new site. Achieving page one results and good search engine optimization (SEO) takes time.

  • Most likely, yes. This includes export/import from Squarespace version 7.0 to 7.1. We do a thorough blog export/import, including:

    • Content cleanup (blog posts you want to keep/delete)

    • Post reformatting

    • Category/tag cleanup and organization

    • URL optimization

    • URL mapping/redirects

    • New featured photo images

    • Fixing broken links

  • No. We may or may not own the licenses to the font files we use in your project.

    If we use Adobe Fonts, they are only available via subscription in Creative Cloud and Squarespace. If we use free Google Fonts, you can download them for free. If we use a custom font we’ve purchased, you will have to purchase it too. We provide font information on your Visual Style Guide page on your website.

  • Responsive web design (RWD) is built in, which means content works well and looks good on all devices. Your website will be mobile-friendly.

  • Acuity Scheduling is an add-on scheduler product integrated with Squarespace. Depending on your subscription plan, prices range from $16–$60. Check out Squarepace’s scheduling page for all features and pricing.
