Overview

KIPOS Botanicals®, a handcrafted herbal products company founded by Konstantina Zaras, had an outdated digital presence. She needed to rebrand the brand identity and website, migrate the site, and optimize the e-commerce.

Our goal was to create a modern, intuitive, and cohesive online experience that reflects the brand's craftsmanship while supporting growth, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Brand Strategy and Positioning

The brand is rooted in Konstantina’s Greek heritage and lifelong relationship with herbs. The pivotal moment came when a radiation oncologist observed the extraordinary effects of her handcrafted salves on his patients’ skin, sparking the creation of KIPOS Botanicals®.

Our strategy was to position the brand as:

  • Authentic & Traditional: rooted in heritage and time-honored methods

  • Handcrafted: every product made personally, with care and intention.

  • High Quality: transparently sourced ingredients, no additives, no shortcuts.

  • Accessible: quality skincare that serves everyone, not just luxury buyers.

This positioning differentiates from larger, mass-produced competitors by emphasizing personal craftsmanship, integrity, and results.

Content Writing

We rewrote the brand messaging for every page of the website, ensuring it aligned with Konstantina’s approachable expertise. This included:

  • Writing the brand story to emphasize heritage, authenticity, and botanical knowledge

  • Rewriting product detail pages, including product descriptions, ingredients, usage, benefits, and FAQs

  • Creating educational content that helps visitors understand herbal skincare

  • Improving hierarchy and calls-to-action across the site to support conversion

  • Editing and organizing existing testimonials from customers and healthcare professionals

All content was crafted in a warm, knowledgeable tone that reflects Konstantina’s welcoming, tradition-grounded personality. We also wrote keyword-specific page titles and meta descriptions. The updated content, in combination with the visual direction, signals brand excellence.

Logo Design and Visual Identity

Product Photography & Optimization

To ensure the website presented the products and new branding with clarity and beauty, we redesigned the suite of product labels and reshot all the products in our studio:

  • Shot brand-new product photography using consistent lighting and styling

  • Retouched and edited all images for color accuracy and visual appeal

  • Optimized image files for fast loading, searchability, and accessibility

  • Cropped and exported images for various use cases, including banners and product pages

These images provide the visual foundation of the eCommerce website and elevate the perception of the brand’s artisanal craftsmanship.

Web Design and Build

We migrated the website from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 to retain years of customer data and analytics. The new website was built on Squarespace 7.1 to take advantage of flexible layouts, modern styling, and long-term platform support.

Our design direction centered on simplicity, clarity, and botanical elements—a visual language that mirrors the brand’s handcrafted ethos.

Key design considerations included:

  • Easy to navigate header and footer navigation menus

  • Clean, uncluttered layouts that let products and storytelling shine

  • Consistent styling across pages for a polished, cohesive brand feel

  • High readability with page sections, typographic hierarchy, and balanced spacing on all devices

  • A clear path that guides shoppers from discovery to purchase, with discount incentives for first-time buyers

The result is a minimalist, joyful website experience that communicates trust and encourages consumers to shop for herbal products.

E-Commerce Configuration

To support a smooth and accurate shopping experience, we completed a full technical setup of the e-commerce settings, including:

Product Setup

  • New product descriptions, optimized product photography (shot and edited by our team), featured image, and social share image

  • Entered precise product weights and dimensions for accurate shipping calculations for every product and variation

  • Added SEO-friendly product page links, titles and descriptions

Shipping Settings

  • Set up carrier-calculated shipping and flat-rate options based on weights, destinations, and business needs

  • Tested shipping and checkout to ensure accurate, predictable customer shipping costs

Customer Email Notifications

  • Customized automated emails that customers receive when they shop to match the design and brand

  • Edited the reply-to and from email addresses to the professional Gmail we set up (so emails won’t be sent from the default no-reply Squarespace email address)

Discount Code

  • Set up a promo code to encourage first-time buyers to place an order

  • Set up an automated campaign email to send the discount code after a subscriber signs up for the email list

Legal Policies Set Up

To ensure compliance and customer trust, we generated a:

  • Privacy Policy

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Refund & Return Policy

  • Shipping Policy

  • Cookie Policy and Consent Tool

These policies were integrated into the checkout page and footer navigation links.

Email Marketing Campaigns & Customer Communication

We created a branded email ecosystem that reflects the new identity and supports customer engagement.

Email Marketing Setup

  • Set up a brand-aligned professional Gmail account to support customer communication, order notifications, and email marketing

  • Set up the Squarespace Email Campaigns

  • Created branded email templates for regular newsletters, announcements, and product promotions

  • Set up automatic subscriber segments for targeted communication

Branded Automated Emails & Customer Notifications

We set up and styled customer notifications and automated emails, including:

  • Order confirmations

  • Shipping notifications

  • 10% discount code

  • Contact form submission reply

  • Purchase thank you

  • Review requests for products

  • Welcome series for new subscribers

Each email was branded with colors, typography, messaging, and photography to create a seamless experience from website to inbox.

The newly designed KIPOS Botanicals® website is a modern digital home that reflects the brand’s heritage and handcrafted quality.
