Woodlake Towers

Custom Content, Photography, and Website Design.

Overview

We gave the Woodlake Towers website a much-needed makeover, turning it into a friendly, welcoming hub for one of the area's largest condo communities. With 830 units spread across three buildings on a beautiful 27-acre wooded campus, our new website is built to help both current residents find what they need and make a great first impression on prospective buyers.

Our goal was simple: create a website that shows off everything the community has to offer, makes information easy for residents to find, and helps build trust with future buyers. Working closely with General Manager Marco and the board, we rolled out a new logo, fresh photos, updated content, and a completely rebuilt Squarespace site.

Brand Strategy and Positioning

Woodlake Towers really stands out in Northern Virginia thanks to its huge 27-acre wooded campus, its proximity to DC, and its tons of amenities. Residents get two outdoor pools, tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts, fitness rooms, a sauna, community gardens, and even a playground.

We kicked things off by sitting down for a discovery interview and mapping out the site together. We made sure all the old links still worked, and reorganized the pages based on what residents and buyers actually look for. The new site really highlights Woodlake’s strengths as a welcoming, active, and financially solid community that’s always improving.

Content Writing

We wrote the site’s content using what we learned from our interviews and feedback sessions, and what remained applicable to their current site. We made sure the site’s content is easy to find and read, with important details organized into clear, quick lists. We included staff names and bios so residents can get to know the management team.

Logo Design and Visual Identity

The old Woodlake Towers logo had a tree, but it didn’t really look like a species of tree you’d find in Northern Virginia. Since the board wanted to keep the tree concept to avoid immediately replacing all the signs, we designed the new logo featuring a native dogwood tree. It keeps the spirit of the original while being local. We also picked easier-to-read fonts, established a consistent color palette, and provided everything the team needed to use the logo with confidence.

Photography & Optimization

We planned the shoot with local photographer Alex Sakes and spent time walking the property to figure out the best shots. We made a detailed shot list so nothing was missed.

We made sure to get shots of all three buildings' exteriors, interior lobbies and all the aforementioned amenities. Down the road, we’re hoping to add drone footage to capture the spectacular aerial views around the Woodlake Towers campus.

The photographer also took professional headshots of the management and front office, as well as engineers, maintenance, and security. Floor plans for every unit type were redrawn to look crisp and uniform, so buyers and renters can easily check out the layouts online.

Web Design and Build

We built the site on Squarespace 7.1, with a focus on ease of use. Navigation got a big upgrade too, with clearer menus and easy-to-follow paths for both residents and buyers. We made sure images, content and page titles were optimized for search, and we added a visual style guide for easy reference. The site is also connected to BuildingLink, so residents can easily access the portal they use regularly.

Legal Policies Set Up

To ensure compliance, we guided our client through the legal policy setup during a live Zoom call, providing education on personally identifiable information, data privacy, and best practices for protecting the association and its website visitors.

With Termageddon, we implemented legal policies, addressed technical questions, and guided them through their review to ensure everything was explained and configured before launch.

The Outcome

Woodlake Towers now has a modern website that really shows off everything that makes the community unique. Residents have an easy-to-use place to find information, view amenities, and access the BuildingLink portal. Prospective buyers get a great first impression, with beautiful photos, clear answers to their questions, and a strong sense of what the community offers.
